I’m Waiting on You
Heading into work at 4 PM that ole steel mill has my mind drifting again and I’m thinking ‘bout you. Yea, I’m thinking ‘bout you. Last night when you kissed me I thought things were alright, but baby you keep twistin’ that knife in my side. But I’m still here, I’m waiting on you. You told me it was over we were done for good, maybe I misheard you or I misunderstood you see I’m thinkin’ bout you. I’m still thinkin’ bout you. You keep changing the rules up as we go, while I stand in your shadow just to keep you close, see I’m still here. I’m waiting on you.
Chorus
You tell me you don’t love me but I know that you lie. How the hell can you tell when you don’t even try. I can see a spark shining in your eye… and we’re lost, lost in love. Oh, let’s take a ride to the other side, to the promise land past the great divide. I’ve never been there before but I’m up for a drive, so tonight let’s take that ride. I’m waiting on you.
This game that you keep playing keeps me up all night ‘cause the hand that you dealt me seems a little bit light, still I’m thinking ‘bout you. Yea I’m thinking ‘bout you. In the park by your house when we talked ‘til dawn, oh it seemed so right what the hell went wrong? See I’m still here, I’m waiting on you. My friends they keep saying I should let it go, that our time has come and gone with nothing to show, still I’m thinkin’ ‘bout you. Yea I’m thinking ‘bout you. And then late at night I’ll hear a whistlin’ train, let’s climb aboard and start over again, see I’m still here, I’m waiting on you. (Chorus)
Headin’ home from work at 2 AM, that ole heater in my Mustang she’s busted again. And I’m thinkin’ ‘bout you. Yea I’m thinking ‘bout you. The lights along this road stand lonely tonight, as I make my way home they try to shed some light, on why I’m here, waiting on you. You see everybody’s got a little hunger inside, a need to share our world with someone to confide, I’ll be waitin’ for you. Yea I’m waiting on you. Baby have a little faith in the great unknown oh I know we’re both scared of being alone, but I’m still here. I’m waiting on you. (Chorus)

The Highway
The lines on the highway tonight shine bright, smiling up at me. I roll through the darkness on the edge of night slowing my speed. Time she has a way, she carries me on gentle and free. Come on road come to me.
The moon rises slowly over the fields, up ahead of me. The stars rest a moment filling my eyes, like sparks on the sea. This road she has a way she carries me on gentle and free. Come on road come to me.
I dreamed of you once again last night, you were waiting for me. I dreamed of the first time I looked in your eyes, they captured me. This dream she has a way she carries me home eventually. Come on road come to me.

Santa Fe
I left California, and headed east. I need a change from out on those streets. It was mid-November, and a cloudless day. I was at a truck stop 300 miles from L.A. And oh sometimes destiny. Has her eyes upon you she’s watching over you she’s watching over me. And oh sometimes destiny. Is here to remind you the road you walk was meant to be.
Driving Highway 40 towards Santa Fe. Finally out of the city and the crowded streets and sidewalks of East L.A. I had just left Vegas, thumbing for a ride. Just heading east with no destination on my mind. But oh sometimes destiny. Has her eyes upon you she’s watching over you she’s watching over me. And oh sometimes destiny. Is here to remind you that your future is often hard to see.
The sun brushed the horizon over the western plains. I arrived in Santa Fe back to my home that once seemed so far away. I stepped into a chapel and sat down for a prayer. Reflecting on my life just spinning my wheels but somehow going no where. I stepped inside. I had some things on my mind. Traveling all alone was getting kinda old and sometimes could be a rough ride. Well you asked where we met child, oh your momma and I. We met in Santa Fe in a little church out on the edge of night
And oh sometimes destiny. Has her eyes upon you she’s watching over you she’s watching over me. But oh sometimes destiny. Is here to remind you the road you walked was meant to be. Oh sometimes destiny. Has her eyes upon you she’s watching over you she’s watching over me. But oh sometimes destiny is here to remind you that your future is hard to see. Is here to remind you it’s not always about you and me. Is here to remind you…

This American Day
In days of innocence and youth, up on mission hill. We grew up fast in the sandlots, across from that mill. We stood side by side through the sea and storms from the world outside. Just you and me, side by side.
Oh take me back, back to those glory days. When life was easy and more simple another American Day. I’m going home, ‘cause I been so far away. Hoping to see you once again, on This American Day.
The last time that I saw you, we were just kids. Learning right from wrong, playing rock-n-roll songs, living on the edge. Testing fate as a right of passage, a single day at a time. Just you and me, living in our prime.
Oh take me back, back to those glory days. When life was easy and more simple another American Day. I’m heading home, ‘cause I been so far away. Hoping to see you once again, on This American Day.
I can’t say goodbye. (Can’t say goodbye.)
I couldn’t when I tried. (Couldn’t when I tried.)And time slips on by. (Time slips on by.)
Don’t know why.
I think about you my friend, with 30 years gone by. Days are gone in a flash, stars wander alone in the midnight sky. But I remember your smile and your laughter, and I miss you my friend. It should have been you and me, till the end.
Oh take me back, back to those glory days. When life was easy and more simple another American Day. I’m going home, ‘cause I been so far away. Hoping to see you once again, on This American Day. Oh I’m going back… (2x)

It’s Been Something
I feel the sunshine, I feel the rain. I feel the wind blow across my skin, but it’s nothin’. Nothin’ like loving you. I see the moon glow in the sky. A shootin’ star goes flashin’ by but that ain’t nothin’. Nothin’ like lovin’ you. ‘Cause you had my heart right from the start oh it’s been something.
I feel my heartbeat deep within. I feel a tremble in my hands again. Ain’t that something. All from lovin’ you. I’ll walk with you each and every day. We’ll share our stories till there’s nothin’ to say, ain’t that something? That’s what love will do. ‘Cause you had my heart right from the start oh it’s been something. ‘Cause you had my heart, right from the start oh it’s been something.
I feel our story has no end. I’d live this life all over again ‘cause it’s been something. Something lovin’ you. Let’s take our time to reach the end. We’ll watch a sunset me and my best friend oh it’ll be something. Just like lovin’ you. ‘Cause you had my heart, right from the start oh it’s been somethin’. ‘Cause you had my heart, right from the start oh it’s been somethin’. ‘Cause you had my heart, right from the start oh it’s been somethin’. ‘Cause you had my heart, right from the start…. oh it’s been something

In the Night
I just can’t seem to find you. Clouds of darkness fill my mind. Like luggage that’s been lost, each moment has a cost. Betrayed by the light. With no clear signs or warnings. No sirens no yellow lights. So how was I to know? That you took a different road, when you stepped into the night. And sometimes we lose our way. It’s OK to be afraid. ‘Cause I’ll be here. We’ll face our fears in the night.
If I make a late night phone call, would you pick up on the line? And whisper in my ear, a sweet something just to hear. I promise it won’t take much time. We’ve got some things to work through. You’ve got yours and I’ve got mine. But I’ve got a simple plan. We’ve gotta live life while we can. I’m just asking for a little time. ‘Cause sometimes we lose our way. It’s OK to be afraid. ‘Cause I’ll be here, we’ll face our fears in the night.
Whooaa, and sometimes we lose our way. It’s OK to be afraid. ‘Cause I’ll be here. We’ll face our fears, in the night.
Whoaa sometimes, whooaa we lose our way—don’t ya know. It’s OK to be afraid. ‘Cause I’ll be here. We’ll chase our fears from the night.

Let it Rain
I stayed up way too late. Stoned blue from a heart break. In club off Liberty. Ain’t no way I’m feeling free. Grabbed my coat and paid my bill. Out the door I felt a chill. Rubbed my hands to try to get warm. Standing in the eye of storm. Nobody told me the waves would be so rough. Nobody warned me about the storm.
But let it rain. Let it wash on over me.
Just let it rain. Cleanse my soul and set me free.
Ghost of myself that night. Blood in veins had no life. Feeling lost, no windows or doors. Time had come to settle the score. Yell and scream all that you want. A trial’s here like it or not. Time will test the heart of a soul. Hold on tight and don’t let go. Nobody told me the waves would be so rough. Nobody warned me about the storm.
But let it rain. Let it wash on over me.
Just let it rain. Cleanse my soul and set me free.
I feel the rain. Washing down on over me.
I feel the rain. Cleansing my soul to set me free.

Come and Find Me
Some are far on the left, others far to the right, the crazy politicians just don’t seem to get it right. ‘Cause I work harder all day just to pay my bills, and I’m drinking at night just to get my thrills. When the weekend comes I’ll be out of my mind ‘cause I’m still searching for a future that I just can’t find!
Come and Find Me! Come on babe, come and find me! Come and stay for a while, yea let’s play for a while come and find me! Your future’s standing here with open arms come and find me. And stay for a while.
I’m leaning on the bar a beer cool in my hand when she slides through the door I’m thinking man oh man. Then she strolls up to me like she’s got something on her mind and she looks clear through me at her friends sitting behind. Just another flashing moment in this life of mine. I’m sitting at the bar girl make up your mind!
Come and Find Me! Come on babe, come and find me! Come and stay for a while, yea let’s play for a while come and find me! Your future’s standing here with open arms come and find me. And stay for a while.
I’m sitting in my Ford my radio’s “Dreamin’ On” I shift straight towards the future and my favorite song. I drive right through the past and present I know, and I come upon some crazy fork in the road. There’s always something to gain and something to lose. I take my best guess and hit the road!
Come and Find Me! Come on babe, come and find me! Come and stay for a while, yea let’s play for a while come and find me! Your future’s standing here with open arms come and find me. And stay for a while.

Sometimes
Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes we fight so hard to get there, only to be refused. Hell I know they lie. Most can’t face the truth. And we’ve been under the gun and on the run, with nothing left to lose. ‘Cause there’s miles and miles and miles between us and them. And the road to make things right runs through this town once again. So my friend let’s take a stand or watch justice fall. Our city’s battered and bruised, lost and confused, we’ve gotta find a way to rise or fall.
Sometimes darkness wins. I’ve seen fairness lose. And the changes that you promise, they only bring fortune to you. You keep changing the game. I never get your rules. And for every step forward I fall so far back, now I’ve really got nothing to lose. And there’s still miles and miles and miles between now and then. And the road to make things right runs these hearts once again. So my friend let’s make a stand or watch justice fall. Our cities battered and bruised lost and confused we gotta find a way to rise not fall.
Sometimes late at night. A train whistles the blues. I wanna climb on board and head somewhere with happier news. But the conductor he lies. He don’t know the truth. I see the train is moving but I’m going nowhere ‘cause it’s leaving me here without you. And there’s miles and miles and miles between us and them. And the road to make things right runs through this town once again. So my friend let’s make a stand or watch justice fall. Our city’s battered and bruised lost and confused; we gotta find a way to rise not fall. ‘Cause there’s still miles and miles and miles between us and them. And the road to make things right depends on us my friend. So let’s rise and make our stand or watch justice fall. Our city’s lost and confused, been battered and been bruised. We gotta find our way through it all.

Radio Freedom
I’m calling out to all friends I know, it’s Friday night, let’s hit the road. Climb inside my Mustang ‘cause we’ve got places to go. We’re searching for a place of our own. Where we can breath and feel we belong. Standing tall, on an open road.
We’re singing for Radio Freedom. We’re searching for some peace of mind. We’re singing ‘bout Radio Freedom; a time in our life on a radio high.
I’m calling out to all friends unknown. Lost in shadows forgotten and alone. Trying to find some meaning on a nowhere road. Let’s leave behind the troubles we know. Fly high above the mountains below. Just close your eyes, and let those feelings go.
We’re singing for Radio Freedom. We’re searching for some peace of mind. We’re singing ‘bout Radio Freedom. A time in our life on a radio high.
ah, ah, ah, ah…. ah. On a radio high.
I’m calling out to all people unknown. To all the dreamers trying to reap what they sow. When days get long and life turns you away. Just reach on out to a friend you know. Turn from the darkness in the valley below. Then look towards the sunrise and watch that daylight glow.
And you will find Radio Freedom. And you will find some peace of mind. Just sing about radio freedom. A time in our life on a radio high.
We’re singing for Radio Freedom. We’re searching for some peace of mind. We’re singing ‘bout Radio Freedom. A time in our life on a radio high.
